    Register Online for NASD 2004!

    NASD is Thursday April 8, 2004, and online registration is now available at www.NationalAlcoholScreeningDay.org! Community, College, Primary/Specialty Care and Spanish kits are available. You can call our office at (800) 253-7658 to have a registration brochure mailed or faxed to you, or register online for NASD.

    Note: If you have already registered for NASD but are changing your site location or choosing one for the first time now, please email us or call the office at (800) 253-7658 with an update. It is especially important to have your site information correct for the Event Locator services, which will be available to the public next month.

    Because 54% of physicians screen patients based only on clinical impressions, patients with potential alcohol problems risk slipping through the cracks.

    “Many of our patients don’t have primary care providers. If they’re receiving intervention, it’s in the ER,” says Patricia Mitchell, a research nurse who works in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Boston Medical Center, a top NASD 2003 site.
