Community Program: to host a public event in a community location.
Most NASD sites in the community set up their event similar to a booth at a
health fair—a large table with brochures, screening forms, informational
brochures, and giveaway items, with lots of people milling around asking
questions, viewing the video, completing the screening questionnaire and
getting general information. Banners and posters, balloons and food may be
available to make the event table more inviting. Community sites that register
for the program are responsible for providing the clinicians and administrative
staff, securing the physical location for the event, and promoting and
implementing the program in their local communities.
If you are interested in reaching out to your community and holding a public
event, register for the
NASD Community Program.
