Why Offer Online Screenings?

From a community standpoint – access to online mental health screenings strengthens connections between mental health professionals and the communities they serve.

  • Screenings extend the reach of your programs and services by providing an easy, anonymous way for individuals to access a validated self-assessment and receive referral information.
  • Screenings connect people who may not otherwise walk through your front door, to your services and programs.
  • Screenings provide a valuable opportunity to showcase your programs, services and treatment resources to your community.

From a health benefits standpoint – access to online mental health screenings may actually decrease claim costs of employees.

  • Research from the Health Enhancement Research Organization shows the claim costs of a depressed employee is 70 percent higher than those for a non-depressed employee.
  • Research from a study published in the Archives of General Psychiatry revealed a depressed employee, on average, loses 32 workdays per year. This means a loss in productivity and increased absenteeism, disability leave and medical care that is estimated to cost employers $51 billion per year.
  • Depression tends to affect people in their prime working years and may last a lifetime, if untreated.

Provide your employees AND your community with the tools they need to stay healthy and engaged!
