Tips for Good Planning

NASD 2002: Site Success Story

We were able to get a great location at the local mall, although were lucky we reserved it when we did; some places were already booked when we started making our calls. Once we finalized our site, we started working with other health organizations in the area to help generate interest in the community and staff the screening day. Together we were able to make goodie bags for the people we spoke with at the screening. The packets included materials from our agencies and from the NASD kits. Our event was a huge success. We were able to reach a lot of members of our community who we might not otherwise have connected with thanks to the great location in the mall and the support from other area agencies.
