A core value and objective of Screening for Mental Health’s Online Screening Program is to preserve the anonymity of the screening participant. As users navigate within the site, no employer, healthcare company, or sponsoring organization can identify any individual who has taken a screening. We are committed to protecting your personal privacy.

The only information that can be collected and reported is aggregate in nature and pertains to general information regarding the number of screenings that take place, the results of the screenings, and general demographic information.

1. What information is collected by mentalhealthscreening.org and how is it used?

We do not collect any information about you that allows us or our sponsors (such as employers, health care companies, or universities) to identify you. We collect this information to allow us to provide our sponsors with general, aggregated reports about the people using our site. These reports allow our sponsors to create services more targeted to the needs of their constituents. For example, we provide our sponsors with the percentage of men and women using our site. However, we make sure that each report represents enough people so that no individual could be identified by his or her demographic makeup.

When you complete a test, we collect the responses to each question. We save these responses in order to provide you with the results of the test and to create the aggregated reports provided to our sponsors.

Our site does not use cookies or clear GIFs (also known as ‘pixal tags’ or ‘web beacons’).

We do not collect information about our users through log files. However, the company to which we outsource our web hosting function may collect the domains previously viewed by our visitors. However, Screening for Mental Health does not obtain this information and it is never shared with any other entity.

mentalhealthscreening.org has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security. To prevent unauthorized access and ensure the appropriate use of information, Screening for Mental Health has put into place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures that safeguard and secure our Web site. Information is transmitted over a secure server through a secure socket layer (SSL).

mentalhealthscreening.org includes links to other Web sites that we think may be useful for our users. When you enter other Web sites, they will be operating under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to carefully review the privacy policies of the Web sites you visit.

If we change our policies, we will post them on our Web site at least thirty days in advance of the new policy going into effect. The screening tools on this site are not intended to be used by individuals under 17 years of age.
