Youth Programs Welcomes New Manager

With 10 years of experience and background as both a clinical social worker and community mental health specialist, Screening for Mental Health® (SMH) is pleased to announce that Diane Santoro, LICSW is the new youth programs manager. Diane received her master’s degree in social welfare from UC Berkeley with a concentration in community mental health. Her professional experience has been in a variety of settings, most recently as a jail diversion clinician on site at a police department running a co-response program focused on forensic mental health. She also has experience working as a community-based mobile crisis response clinician as well as a clinician in Massachusetts elementary, middle and high schools.

After nearly two years as youth programs manager, Candice Porter, LICSW, will begin a new role within SMH, as director of external relations. Upon her return from maternity leave in February 2011, Candice will leverage her background and interests in program management, development and training to work with our youth and other national programs to strengthen existing and develop new partnerships.
