The CommunityResponse^® In-person Screening kit provides an implementation manual, validated screening tools, and educational materials to conduct screenings in community locations or in doctors’ offices. As a CommunityResponse participant, SMH will provide an appropriate number of specially designed screening “kits” to spearhead selected providers’ in-person screening response after an emergency. Screening for Mental Health has developed these informational kits, utilized by thousands of community health and mental health facilities over the past 16 years. Special program kits are also available for primary care patients, elderly populations, high school and college students. In-person screening can be conducted in the absence of an emergency to aid in identification of mental illness for the general public and referral to appropriate treatment services.
