Screening events are typically one day, in-person public education screening and
referral programs for mental health disorders. Local hospitals, health centers,
social service organizations, government agencies, and college’s nationwide
offer these events free to the communities they serve. The goal is to help
individuals identify mental health concerns and specific ways to access
treatment for themselves or a loved one.
