Since 2000, more than 2,500 schools have participated in the SOS program.
Feedback from school coordinators includes the following positive trends:

90% agreed that the program brought students in need to the school’s attention

More than 94% agreed that the program improved communication about depression
and suicide among students and between students and school personnel.

Schools participating for the first time experienced a 150% increase in
students seeking help.

SOS is the only school-based suicide prevention program that has been shown
to reduce suicidality in a randomized, controlled study. Read the
